Most people that join the WFB are interested in staying and defending their own property and their immediate neighbors during a wildland fire.

Firefighter-CPP
This is the highest level of firefighter training and is recommended for those that are interested in volunteering to help defend properties in different communities.
The following training standards are established by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) for firefighter type 2 (FFT2).
