Firefighter Type 1 Class

This class is for Scouts to become FFT-1.

This class follows the training standards set by NWCG.

Class Length

This class is a 12 hour class.

Class TLO

At the completion of this training the Scout will be able to identify and use the following:

  • Go no Go situations
  • Trigger Points
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation
  • Weather meters
  • Documentation forms
  • Scene Management tools
  • SDHS SOP Protocols

Class Prerequisites

The prerequisites include completion of FFT-2 standards.

Completion of the S-131 Distant Learning Information.

  • Printed copy of S-131 JPR’s
