Animal Fire Rescue offers NFPA Training for the following topics in Awareness, Operational and Technician Levels.
- Rope Rescue (RR)
- Animal Technical Rescue (ATR)
- Water Rescue (WR)
The benefit of NFPA Training is that different topics can be combined to make training more streamlined. AFR has created an NFPA Training program that combines RR & ATR into a 4 level program and a Water Rescue Training that combines 3 topics.

| ReCert Operational & Technician | 24 | RR & ATR Re-Cert for all achieved levels except Awareness (Must complete every two years |

| Water Rescue | 16 | Surface Water, Swiftwater & Flood Water Technician Level (Must be RR & ATR Technician before taking Water Rescue) |
